There is no difference in quality with Quartz, but there is a veined material that is normally more expensive as the vein is injected into the mould before it’s cast. A flat colour is normally more competitive.

Quartz slabs are 3.2 x 1.6 as a very accurate slab size across all colours. 

This can work with no waste but also the other way with too much waste out of the 2nd or 3rd slab. 

Granite sheets are normally as an average a lot bigger i.e 3.3 x1.95, this can help with cost so a 2nd sheet is not required.  However, this can also work out more expensive if the 2nd sheet is needed for a small amount of worktop leaving a lot of waste.
